Palmyra, 267-273 CE. Queen Zenobia, believed by some to be Jewish, ruled th eLevant. She took the crown from her dead husband and conquered Judea and Egypt. Her rebellion against Rome launched the destruction of Palmyra in 273. Palmrya sank into obscurity afterwards. Today Palmyra faces total destruction again.

The Real Housewives is a reality television series that exhibits women in living the "good-life". They live ultra-chic lives, however they are not immune to adversity, humiliation and powerlessness. Artists in the 19th century also painted portraits of fancy ladies - however, like the Housewives, their lives were often not such a pretty picture. Included, topics on Jewish feminine identity, patronage, social and domestic life.

I use #DrawArt to explore if it was possible that Jewish women were at the center of Delacroix's 19th century Orientalist fantasy. 'Women of Algiers in Their Apartment' is a painting that influenced the development of Modern Art. I focus on digital innovations and Jewish art history from a feminist perspective to contribute to Tikkun Olam, or healing the world.
